INDC Network: There were many developments in the voting on 9 assembly seats during the Uttar Pradesh by-election. There was a round of allegations and counter-allegations between SP and BJP, where SP accused of intimidating voters and checking their identity cards. The Election Commission took immediate action on the complaints and suspended 7 policemen. The lowest voting took place in Ghaziabad and the highest in Kundarki. Political parties stressed on free and fair elections during this time.
