Rahul Gandhi's serious comments
Rahul Gandhi shared a video on his YouTube channel on Tuesday, in which he mentioned meeting the family of a Dalit girl from Hathras in 2020. He alleged that casteism and power games are making it difficult for Dalits to get justice in Uttar Pradesh.
He said, "Delay in justice is equivalent to not getting justice. Here, the accused are roaming free and the victim's family is living like a hostage.”
Hathras Case: What Happened?
Giving details of the incident, Rahul Gandhi said that on 14 September 2020, four upper caste men gang-raped a 19-year-old Dalit girl. He died at the hospital on September 28. The Uttar Pradesh Police forcibly performed the last rites at night without the consent of the family.
Accusations and promises against the government
Rahul Gandhi claimed that the BJP government had promised jobs and new houses to the victims' families, but even after four years, it has not been fulfilled.
