Farmers' protest: Delhi march, 7-day ultimatum to administration, yet the plan remains intact
The farmers have given 7 days time to the administration and have maintained their plan to march to Delhi. Complete arrangements for stay and food have been made at Dalit Prerna Sthal in Noida. Farmers started the Delhi March on Monday (December 2, 2024). After talking with the administration, the farmers agreed to temporarily stop the demonstration and gave 7 days time. However, the farmers' leaders have made it clear that if no decision is taken on their demands in 7 days, they will march to Delhi.

Strong preparations of farmers at the exhibition site
Farmers have made full preparations to hold a protest and halt at Dalit Prerna Sthal in Noida. Quilts and mattresses have been ordered to avoid the cold. Big drums and pots have reached the place for food and drink arrangements.
Separate sleeping and resting arrangements have been made for women farmers. About 2 to 3 thousand farmers have been arranged to stay at the demonstration site.

Traffic on Noida-Delhi route affected
Heavy traffic jams were witnessed on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and the Delhi-Noida border due to farmers' protests. Police deployed more than 5,000 security personnel and barricaded vehicles to check them.
However, by 4 pm, the road was opened and the barricading removed, allowing traffic to flow normally.
Mangen and the purpose of the Delhi march
Bharatiya Kisan Parishad (BKP) leader Sukhbir Khalifa has demanded compensation and benefits under the new agricultural laws. This movement is supported by major organizations like Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) and United Kisan Morcha (SKM).
Farmer leaders have made it clear to the administration that if their demands are not met, then a large-scale protest will begin in Delhi from December 6.
