Noida's DLF Mall and Gurugram's Ambience Mall Receive Bomb Threat Emails; Confirmed as Security Drill
On Saturday, bomb threat emails were sent to Noida's DLF Mall of India and Gurugram's Ambience Mall, causing temporary evacuation and concern. However, the authorities later confirmed that the situation was part of a security drill, and there was no real threat. Both malls resumed normal operations after the drill.

INDC Network: Noida (Uttar Pradesh): On Saturday, DLF Mall of India located in Uttar Pradesh and Ambience Mall in Gurugram, Haryana received bomb threat emails. However, it was later clarified that it was only a fake allegation. The district administration said that there was no real threat at the DLF mall and it was part of a security exercise, which was carried out for about half an hour. The security exercise started at 11 am in DLF Mall of India, in which the local police and the security management of the mall worked together. During this, the mall was evacuated, and half an hour later, around 1 pm, the normal functioning of the mall was resumed. Additional Police Officer Manish Mishra said that there was no bomb threat email at the mall and it was conducted purely under procedural security implementation.
The spokesperson of DLF Mall management also confirmed this and said that this security exercise was conducted with the help of the authorities. He informed that the mall is now fully operational and open for markets. The mall administration has also said that they have been assigned reserved security standards to maintain their institutional security standards. Ambliance Mall in Gurgaon had also received a similar bomb threat email. In the email, the depositor claimed that he was going to plant a bomb in the mall, the other aim was to harm the people present inside the building. The email also mentioned the names of two people, who are said to be behind these alleged attacks. After the alarming meeting, the Gurugram police and the bomb squad started a search operation in the mall. The operation also included the dog squad and the civil defense team. However, no bomb was found in the mall during the search operation and this alarming news was also a shocking one.
During this incident, many people came out of the DLF Mall of India, which created an exposure-maker for some time. People present in the mall thought that it was actually a case of bomb threat. A man, who gave his name as Agyaani, posted on social media that he was watching the movie in the mall when the audience was suddenly asked to leave. He also shared pictures of bomb squad vehicles outside the mall and wondered if it was still a fake release.At 1.35 pm, DLF Mall of India released a statement, confirming that it was just a security exercise. The mall administration said in its statement that security is of the highest nationality and they are constantly making efforts to maintain the reserved standards.This is not the first time that news related to bomb threats has been uploaded in various schools of Delhi. Earlier, on May 1, several schools in Ghaziabad and Faridabad also received bomb emails, which later turned out to be shocking news.
