Two injured in a horrific road accident
A horrific road accident took place in Amapur police station area of Farrukhabad district on 4 November 2024, which shocked the local people. Shivshankar Singh, a resident of village Kiratpur in Wazirganj police station area, was returning from a family function with his brother and nephew. His motorcycle, number UP 83 AX 1063, collided with a speeding tractor-trolley, causing serious injuries to his brother and nephew.
Delay in providing assistance after an accident
Immediately after the accident, Shivshankar Singh contacted emergency service 112, but police assistance was delayed. During this time, no police assistance was available at the accident site, due to which the injured could not get timely medical assistance. After this, the injured persons were taken to CSC (Community Health Center) in Rajpur, where the doctors referred them to the district hospital after seeing their critical condition.

Reaction of Azad Samaj Party
Seeing the seriousness of the incident, Azad Samaj Party took cognizance of the matter. Many senior officials and workers including the party's district president Nitin Kumar Gautam, district secretary Raju Pratap Singh, and assembly general secretary Rohit Gautam together demanded immediate and appropriate legal action from the administration in this matter. Gathering in the village, they expressed their anger towards the incident and appealed to the officials to provide justice to the victim's family.
FIR lodged and demand for legal action
On November 14, 2024, Shivshankar Singh lodged an FIR at Amapur police station, in which he demanded strict legal action against the culprits. A case has been registered in this case under sections 281, 125(a) and 125(b) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS). The investigating officer, Sub-Inspector Suraj Kumar, has taken over the investigation of the case and assured action with complete impartiality.
