Message of Mahatma Gandhi: A shop of love in the market of hatred
At a time when Indian politics is being dominated by hate, violence and anger, the Congress leader has vowed to open a "dukaan of love in the market of hate". He says words like 'love you' have disappeared from politics and he wants to bring them back. He said, "If someone else has taken the contract of hate, we will take the contract of love."
Protecting the Constitution and its basic spirit
Showing the Constitution of India, he said that it contains the thoughts of great thinkers like Mahatma Gandhi, Ambedkar, Phule, Narayan Guru, Basavanna and Buddha, who give the message of equality and love in the country. Accusing the Modi government, he said that they are killing this Constitution, and are engaged in weakening it. "It is not written anywhere in the Constitution that we should kill each other or torture anyone," he stressed.
Attacks on the Constitution and Democracy
Citing the example of the fall of the Maharashtra government, the leader explained how power was usurped by violating the basic spirit of the Constitution. "When huge sums of money were paid to MLAs to topple the Maharashtra government, it was the murder of the Constitution," he said. He also accused the BJP and the RSS of weakening the democratic institutions of the country. He asked, "Is it written anywhere in the Constitution that big industries from Maharashtra should be shifted to other states?"
Ambani-Adani's loan is waived off, farmer's hard work is disrespected
The Congress leader questioned that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, loans worth Rs 16 lakh crore of big businessmen like Adani and Ambani were waived off, but farmers are not paid the right price for their hard work. "Adani-Ambani have soft hands, but farmers have torn hands," he said. This is a kind of economic injustice which is against the spirit of equality of the Constitution.
Save the constitution, save the country
The leader called on the people to stand up to protect this Constitution, which is the soul of the country. He said that hatred cannot be answered with hatred. "If someone hates you, the only way to eradicate hatred is by showing love," he reminded the people.
