The prisoners got new hope from the event organized on Constitution Day in Fatehgarh Jail
Constitution Day was celebrated with great pomp in District Jail Fatehgarh. Chief Guest Mr. Sanjay Kumar (ADJ/Secretary, DLSA) inaugurated the program by paying tribute to Dr. Ambedkar. The speakers highlighted the importance of the Constitution and the rights of prisoners. The Jail Superintendent stressed on following the rules for premature release. The prisoners were motivated to adopt good conduct and take advantage of the new provisions.

Special program organized on Constitution Day in District Jail Fatehgarh
Fatehgarh. On the orders of Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority and the instructions of District Judge Shri Vinay Kumar, a grand celebration of Constitution Day was organized in District Jail Fatehgarh under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). Jail staff and prisoners participated enthusiastically in this program.
The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Shri Sanjay Kumar (ADJ/Secretary, DLSA) by lighting the lamp and garlanding the portrait of Constitution maker Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Jail Superintendent Bhimsen Mukund and other officials present also paid tribute to Baba Saheb.
Speakers stressed the importance of the constitution
The program was conducted by Assistant Chief Defense Counsel Mr. Surendra Rana. On this occasion, Chief Defense Counsel Mr. Shivnaresh Singh, Advocate Raghuveer Das, Deputy Jailor Vaibhav Kushwaha and female jail warder Nagma shared their views on various aspects of the Constitution.
- Vaibhav Kushwaha gave an impressive speech on the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar in the making of the Constitution.
- Nagma gave the message of women empowerment by highlighting women rights in the Constitution.
- Other speakers stressed the importance of fundamental rights mentioned in the Constitution, right to education and cleanliness.
Awareness and motivation for prisoners
Jail Superintendent Bhimsen Mukund requested the prisoners to follow the rules of premature release and adopt good conduct. He said that the present government is taking concrete steps in this direction, which all prisoners can take advantage of. Secretary DLSA Mr. Sanjay Kumar appreciated the efforts of legal services in the interest of prisoners. He said that as per the instructions of the Supreme Court and High Court, the appeals and bail cases of prisoners are being monitored.

Appreciation of food and cleanliness
The Secretary appreciated the food, cleanliness and medical facilities of the jail and suggested all the prisoners to take advantage of the new provisions of the Constitution.
Oath and Closing
At the end of the program, the Secretary administered the oath of the Constitution to everyone. The program concluded with the national anthem.
Special appearance
Jailor Girish Kumar, Deputy Jailor Vaibhav Kushwaha, Saroj Devi, Om Prakash and other staff also participated on this occasion. Panel advocates Shyamveer Somvanshi, Ataullah and Prashant Gupta were also present in the program. The jail superintendent expressed his gratitude to all the visitors and speakers and declared the program a success.
