IPL 2025: Date fixed, mega auction to be held in Jeddah
Next year, the IPL will start from March 14 and will run till May 25. The mega auction will be held on 24 and 25 November 2024 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A total of 574 players will participate in it, including 366 Indians and 208 foreign players. Prominent names include stars like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Mitchell Starc and Glenn Maxwell.

Dates for 2026 and 2027 seasons announced
IPL 2026 will be held from March 15 to May 31 and 2027 will be held from March 14 to May 30. 74 matches will be played in each season.
Availability of foreign players
Players from Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will be available for the next three seasons. However, players from Pakistan have not been participating in the IPL since 2008.
