Union Home Minister Amit Shah has strongly criticized the remarks made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on PM Narendra Modi. Kharge targeted the Prime Minister in his statement given during an election rally on Sunday. Kharge almost fainted during the rally, but then gathered strength and said that he would not die before seeing Prime Minister Modi ousted from power. Amit Shah described the remarks as "disgusting and insulting" and called it an "unnecessary malice" against the Prime Minister.

Amit Shah, while reacting on Twitter, said that Kharge dragged PM Modi into the issue of his personal health condition, which was not only unnecessary but also exposed the deep bitterness and hatred of the Congress party towards PM Modi. Shah also said that Kharge's remarks make it clear that the Congress leader is extremely worried about Prime Minister Modi and keeps thinking about him constantly. Shah said that he and everyone in the BJP, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wish Kharge good health and long life. He also prayed that Kharge stays healthy and sees his dream of India becoming a developed country by 2047 come true. Amit Shah also accused the Congress party that its leaders have crossed all limits of bitterness and hatred, and such comments reflect the character of the Congress.

Today's other news from Delhi:

Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Monday reprimanded a lawyer during a hearing in the Supreme Court, who was repeatedly saying 'yes, yes'. During the arguments, CJI Chandrachud expressed displeasure at the lawyer's repeated use of the word 'yes, yes' and said that he is "allergic" to people who say 'yes, yes'. He clearly told the lawyer that the court is not a coffee shop, and such language is not acceptable in the court. CJI Chandrachud urged the lawyer to say just 'yes' instead of 'yes' and not to use 'yes, yes' repeatedly. He said, "This is a court, such language will not work here." In this context, Chandrachud said that it is necessary to maintain the dignity of the court and proper language should be used.

The lawyer was arguing on a petition at that time, which demanded an inquiry against former Chief Justice of India and current Rajya Sabha MP Ranjan Gogoi. The lawyer said in his argument that a petition was wrongly dismissed by former CJI Gogoi, and suggested filing a curative petition against it.

On this, CJI Chandrachud objected to the petition and said that how can such a public interest litigation (PIL) be filed by making a judge a respondent. He told the lawyer that Justice Gogoi is a former Supreme Court judge and such a petition against him is not acceptable. After this rebuke from the CJI, emphasis was laid on maintaining discipline and dignity in the court.
