Naseem Solanki clashes with police in Sisamau
There was a fierce clash between Samajwadi Party candidate Naseem Solanki and the police in Sisamau assembly seat of Kanpur. Voters of a particular community alleged that the police were preventing them from casting their votes and were allegedly told, "Come after shaving your beard." Naseem Solanki reached the spot and accused the administration of being biased and intimidating the voters.
"People's ID cards are being torn at polling booths and women are being abused. The police are preventing voters from coming out," he said.
Uproar and stone pelting in Mirapur
The situation became even more tense in Muzaffarnagar's Meerapur assembly constituency. There was a huge uproar during voting in the Kakroli area and the crowd pelted stones at the police. In response, the police used mild force to disperse the crowd.

Sharing the video, the SP alleged that the administration was preventing Muslim voters from voting. In one video, a person said, "The country will run by the Constitution, we are not being allowed to vote." The SP appealed to the Election Commission to ensure fairness.

In these by-elections, Congress has supported SP and has not contested itself. On the other hand, BSP has decided to contest all the nine seats alone.
