Cristiano Ronaldo took a new step in his career by launching the YouTube channel 'UR Cristiano'. Within a few hours of the channel launch, Ronaldo broke the world record for reaching 1 million subscribers in the shortest time and 10 million subscribers in 24 hours. This channel will not only highlight stories from his football career but will also give information on his family, health, nutrition, and other aspects of life.

After ruling the game of football for almost two decades, Ronaldo has now decided to become a content creator and towards this he has taken his first step by launching his YouTube channel 'UR Cristiano'.

Within hours of announcing the launch of his YouTube channel, Ronaldo broke a world record as he became the person to reach 1 million subscribers in the shortest time in the history of YouTube. Not only this, within 24 hours, the number of subscribers of Ronaldo's YouTube channel reached 10 million, which is another world record.

Ronaldo is already one of the most followed personalities on social media platforms. He has 112.5 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), 170 million on Facebook and 636 million on Instagram.

On Wednesday, he launched his channel named 'UR Cristiano' and requested his followers to hit the subscribe button. His fans obeyed this request in large numbers. Within the first 90 minutes of the channel's launch, it had hit the 1 million subscriber mark and became the channel to reach this milestone in the shortest time in YouTube history.

At the time of writing this article, Ronaldo's channel has over 12 million subscribers and the number is constantly growing. Interestingly, Ronaldo's contemporary Lionel Messi, who is himself a global football icon, also has a YouTube channel but it has only 2.27 million subscribers even though it was launched in 2006.

Ronaldo says that this channel will not only share stories from his football career but will also give his followers information about his "family, health, nutrition, preparation, recovery, education and business". He added, "I always enjoy having such a strong connection with fans on social media and my YouTube channel will give me an even bigger platform to do so. They will be able to learn more about me, my family and my views on many different topics."

Ronaldo has entered the final phase of his illustrious football career in which he has played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus. Currently, he is playing for Saudi club Al-Nassr.

He is a five-time winner of the Ballon d'Or award, which is given to the world's best footballer each year.

The 39-year-old Ronaldo has over 900 million followers on Instagram (636 million), Facebook (170 million) and X (112.5 million). Ronaldo, who first came into the global spotlight while representing Manchester United, made an emotional return to the club in 2021 but was fired from the club due to differences with manager Erik ten Hag.
