IPL 2025 retention list: Which players became part of the team, who were left out?
Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, all the franchises have released their list of retained players. Mumbai Indians have retained their star players Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Jaspreet Bumrah and young player Tilak Verma. The special thing is that Jaspreet Bumrah has been retained for a huge amount of 18 crores, making him the most expensive player of the team. Hardik and Suryakumar have been retained for 16.35 crores and Rohit for 16.30 crores. It is clear from this strategy of Mumbai that the team wants to rely only on its experienced players.
Kolkata Knight Riders have retained Rinku Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh. Rinku has been retained in the team for 13 crores and Varun and Sunil Narine for 12 crores. Chennai Super Kings have retained Rituraj Gaikwad, Mathisha Pathirana, Shivam Dubey, Ravindra Jadeja and captain MS Dhoni in the team this time.
