The Kaumudi Mahotsav to be held in Sankisa on November 14 and 15 will celebrate the 57th birth anniversary of Lord Buddha, grand cultural programs and special guests. BJP MLA Sushil Shakya will inaugurate the event, while former minister Swami Prasad Maurya will be the chief guest. Special preparations are underway for the event, where Buddhist monks and cultural programs will be the main attractions of the festival.

Special Kaumudi Mahotsav on the 57th birth anniversary of Lord Buddha: A grand Kaumudi Mahotsav will be organized in Sankisa on 14 and 15 November to commemorate the 57th birth anniversary of Lord Buddha. There is an atmosphere of special enthusiasm in the entire area on this occasion, and the preparations for the event are being finalized. This festival will be organized at Bhadant Vijay Som Inter College in Sankisa, in which various Buddhist organizations and institutions will cooperate.


Inauguration and Chief Guest: BJP MLA Sushil Shakya will inaugurate the festival on November 14 at 2 pm. Former state minister Swami Prasad Maurya will be present as the chief guest at the event. As a special attraction in this event, former MP Kailash Yadav and Dr. G.S. Shakya, MD of Buddhist Commune International will be the keynote speakers.


Distinguished guests: MP Devesh Shakya, MLA Vipin Verma David, Mamtesh Shakya, Dr. Nawal Kishore Shakya, and State Secretary Maharaj Singh Shakya among other dignitaries will also be present. Former MP Dr. Arun Jaitley attended the women's conference. Sanghamitra Maurya and Dhammacharini Shraddhavanjari will be present. In addition, Venerable Bn. Nanda, says Dr. Dhammapala, Bhanthe Chetsik Bodhi, and other Buddhist monks will also grace the festival.


Grand cultural program: On both nights, cultural programs like Buddhist songs, magicians, and drama performances will be organized, which will keep the audience entertained till late night. Buddhist organizations like Bharatiya Sakya Parishad, Rashtriya Samyak Mahasangh, and Sakya Buddhist Development Committee etc. will also cooperate in organizing this festival.
